Vintage fur is having a moment and we’re here for the pieces with history, character, and a little bit of drama

Our fur collection is made up of vintage pieces sourced from private clients, collectors, estate finds, and treasure hunts across the country. Some are beautifully understated. Some are completely over the top. Some are the kind of coat that makes a perfectly ordinary trip to the grocery store feel like an occasion

Every fur that comes through SALT House is inspected before it is listed. We look closely at the pelts, lining, closures, seams, cuffs, collars, pockets, and overall condition. If we find an issue, we disclose it and price the piece accordingly. That said: these are vintage furs.

They have existed in the world for decades, and natural materials age. You may find signs of a previous life that aren’t immediately apparent in photographs. We make every effort to catch and describe anything we see, but we cannot promise that we’ve spotted every tiny imperfection.

Our furs are stored in a well-ventilated, smoke-free, moisture-free environment and cared for as vintage garments should be. But no amount of careful storage can turn a decades-old coat into a brand-new one. And honestly, that’s not what we’re selling.

We’re selling the good stuff with a past.

Before purchasing, please look carefully at all photos and read the individual description. If you have questions about condition, fit, measurements, fur type, lining, or anything else, reach out before purchasing. We’re happy to answer questions or provide additional photos whenever possible.

Fur sales are final. No returns.
